It was saved to retain Vector's so when I tried to open it after re-installing the font PSP still wanted to change the font in the project. This was a issue early on when I first went from XP to W7 when I had a project using Aresso Demi font. So yeah Demi fonts are the only ones that I found are not workable.

Fonts with Demi want show up and are not connected to the B and I. If a font for these applications is'nt in the font family they don't work.Īny fonts the have a different name like Medium, Demi, Compressed or Condensed although they are in a family they mostly show up as a different font in the PSP font list. With PSP the fonts work with the B and I foe Bold and Italic style fonts in the family the same as the message text box on forums. The families appear like a font does but with cascading fonts.Īnyway I was playing around with both PSP XI and Photo shop last night. When I describe a font family file it's not in a yellow file. It's very confusing why a program made for W7 is having this problem at all.Ĭlick to expand.Yes I know. The drop down list IS still missing the fonts in the family files.

Just as a trial thing, I downloaded PS X4 and installed the trial version. With PS XI I really would have though it wouldn't be a issue any longer but it seams it is. That was when I noticed the issue then and just had to except it for that older program. But I must add I was using Paint Shop Pro 8 at the time. The point is, When I was still installing as you've suggested works it didn't for me. Being used to installing fonts by copy and pasd I still did the same thing for awhile after getting W7 not knowing about the great feature that W7 has for this. The difference was I upgraded XP to W7 on the same PC. Yes I had the same thing happen when I went from XP to Win 7.

I did ask Corel support about it but from the answer I'd say they didn't quite understand the question. It's good to see I'm not the only one with this problem so you understand what I'm talking about. This avoids tedious script creation for each set and subsequent script batch processing-so that part I really like and I can fudge on the organizational side by substituting either Picasa or FastStone Image viewer. I've seen worse layouts/usability in other programs, even in other versions of the same program so the older organizers were/are simple and to the point and expand nicely, toggle out of the way nicely and such, but since X3 a capture editing feature has been added (in a strange place it seems on the organizer-still make the edits in the full editor) that enhances workflow even better when working with sets of photos that all need the same set of adjustments do one and apply to all. the layout of the XP fonts folder but maybe I'm still missing something. So to me on my systems it seems the only difference is the organizational layout of the Win 7 fonts folder vs. I looked at a few families and seems most are variations accounted for with the Font style setting and therefore don't need to be listed as a separate font?

Well I was comparing some of my XP systems with the Windows 7 systems and the fonts available seem very comparable for instance I either have 5 or 6 Lucida listings on each/all.
